It looks like Liverpool might’ve finally signed Marcelo Pitaluga.
The Brazilian goalkeeper has been linked with a move to Anfield for a number of months.
In mid-September, UOL Esporte in Brazil claimed that Liverpool were on the brink of signing the 17-year-old in what would be a £2 million deal.
But with no announcement, there is an element of mystery about the deal.
That being said, some Liverpool fans on Twitter believe that they’ve spotted the man himself at Melwood, the club’s training ground.
There might never be official confirmation from Liverpool’s end, but the player is following a whole series of Jurgen Klopp’s squad on social media and therefore it seems pretty likely that is indeed him.
At only 17, he is nowhere near ready for senior football under Klopp for the reigning Premier League champions, but this is another young prospect signed for the future and it’ll be interesting to see how he develops over the coming years.
