Some Liverpool fans respond to Caulker’s tweet about Anfield return

Steven Caulker has quipped on Twitter that he will re-sign for Liverpool – but only if it’s as a striker.

The former England international had a short-term loan spell at Liverpool back in the 2015-16 season due to an injury crisis in defence.

Caulker, who is now plying his trade in Turkey, wound up only playing two minutes for Liverpool in the Premier League.

And when he did, it was as a striker as Jurgen Klopp chased a draw against Arsenal.

Klopp has another crisis in regards to centre-back issues after Joe Gomez joined Fabinho and Virgil van Dijk – who’s out for the season – following a knee injury picked up on England duty yesterday.

And the 28-year-old has joked that he’s available if Liverpool need him again, but only if the German manager intends to play him up front again.
