Some Liverpool fans on social media have been hailing Sepp van den Berg after his performance for Preston North End on Wednesday.
The Dutchman is on loan at Preston from Liverpool, and while it’s usually forbidden for a loan player to play against his parent club, the Reds made an exception for the teenager.
Van Den Berg was placed in a tough situation, starting a cup game against his parent club, but, like a true professional, he rose to the challenge and put in a brilliant performance.
Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to get one over his teammates, succumbing to a 2-0 defeat, but his all-around performance was solid.
The teenager looked composed on the ball, while his physical attributes were there for all to see.
At the age of just 19, van den Berg still has a lot of room to grow and it seems as though Liverpool fans think he could be a future star.
