Former Liverpool youngster Yan Dhanda marked his senior debut by scoring the winner on the opening day of the new Championship season.

A number of Liverpool fans took to Twitter to comment after Yan Dhanda marked his professional debut with the goal that led Swansea to victory on the opening day of the new Championship season at the weekend.
Dhanda spent five years on the Reds’ books between 2013 and 2018, but chose to leave Anfield this summer, with the Liverpool Echo reporting that he decided to join the Swans as he felt that his path to the first-team was blocked on Merseyside.
And while Jurgen Klopp will not be losing any sleep over the 19-year-old’s exit just yet, the midfielder certainly celebrated his move away from Liverpool in some style.
Dhanda was initially left on the bench for Swansea’s season curtain-raiser against Sheffield United. However, Graham Potter brought him on in the latter stages when the game was 1-1 at Bramall Lane.

The change proved to be inspired as Dhanda scored what proved to be the winner with his first touch to get the Swans off to a flyer as they look to secure promotion at the first time of asking.
Many of the Liverpool fans have expressed their delight for Dhanda. While he is clearly a talent, there appears to be some acceptance that he needed to move for the sake of his career. However, there are one or two people who already believe that letting him leave is going to prove to be a mistake.
