Markovic featured for Liverpool in their pre-season friendly match against German club Dortmund on Sunday.
The 24-year-old winger – who earns £35,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – started the game, which ended in a 3-1 defeat for the Reds.

Markovic has been on the books of Liverpool since the summer of 2014 when he joined from Benfica for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £20 million.
Much was expected of the winger he arrived at Anfield, but the Serbia international has failed to establish himself in the Reds’ first team.
During his time at Liverpool so far, the 24-year-old had been out on loan at Fenerbahce, Sporting Lisbon, Hull City and Anderlecht.
