Liverpool youngster Kamil Grabara had an eventful debut for Huddersfield last night.

The Poland under-21 international started his first game in English football in the Terriers’ Championship opener against Derby County.

It got off to a terrible start when a dodgy backpass from Tommy Elphick left him with too much to do and Tom Lawrence opened the scoring.

A spectacular goal from Lawrence minutes later left Grabara with no chance, picking the ball out of the net again.

Part of the challenge for any goalkeeper is forging a relationship with the defence and this is clearly an area that after one game, Grabara and his teammates still have to get right.

After the early mix up, Grabara began to redeem himself.

He made a couple of important saves just before half-time and started to show why he is so highly rated.

Huddersfield pulled a goal back but lost the game 2-1.

This was a reality check for Grabara about life in the Championship, but he showed enough good signs that he should be positive.

Here is a look at how some Liverpool fans reacted to his performance…
