Liverpool fans on Twitter are hoping to see more of Xherdan Shaqiri at club level after he impressed over the international break for his country.
During their most recent outing, Switzerland recorded an entertaining 3-3 draw with Germany in the UEFA Nations League, with Shaqiri starting the game.
It was some much-needed game time for the 29-year-old, who is struggling to get onto the pitch at club level.
A selection of Liverpool fans stated that he played well for his country and they are now hoping he is provided with a chance at Anfield.
Shaqiri has started only one game for the Reds this season and that was a 7-2 win against Lincoln City in the League Cup where he scored a brilliant free-kick.
In truth, ever since Shaqiri swapped the Potteries for Merseyside, it hasn’t worked out for him and he has struggled to be a regular in Jurgen Klopp’s Premier League and Champions League-winning XI.

When the European summer transfer window was open, there were rumours that Shaqiri could be heading for the exit door, but a move didn’t materialise and the left-footed technician made it clear, he was the one who decided to stay at Melwood, as reported by the Daily Mail.
Given that he is still here, sections of Liverpool supporters would like to see more of him, but it’s very difficult trying to break into this championship-winning side even if they did concede seven last time out.
