Some Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the challenge from Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford on Manchester United central defender Harry Maguire.
Pickford was in action for Everton in their Premier League game against United at Goodison Park this afternoon.
On the hour mark, the England international made a clumsy challenge on Maguire, but no foul was given.
Some Liverpool fans watching the match have pointed out on Twitter a similar awkward challenge made by the Englishman on Virgil van Dijk in the Merseyside derby.
As reported by The Guardian, the Liverpool and Netherlands international central defender could miss the rest of the season.
Pickford was not penalised for that challenge on Van Dijk, and the Englishman was not adjudged to have committed a foul on Maguire either.
Fortunately for United, Maguire, who played well in the match, did not suffer any injury and was able to continue playing, as the Red Devils won 3-1.
As for Everton, it was a disappointing result for them, and manager Carlo Ancelotti will now have to pick up his team and go again after the two-week international break.
