Some Liverpool fans on social media have been reacting after it was announced Jordan Henderson has signed a new deal with the club.
Liverpool have been on top of things when it comes to tying their star players down to new deals, and while there had been reports claiming Henderson’s situation was proving difficult to resolve, the club have now overcome any hurdles.
Keeping Henderson at the club for four more years is a huge boost for Liverpool. The midfielder is one of the best players in the division, and more importantly than that, he’s the leader in the dressing room.
It’s been well-documented just how influential Henderson is at Anfield, and while he may decline in the coming years – he’ll be 35 by the end of his contract, his ability to lead the team shouldn’t be affected by that.
Henderson is here for four more years, and we expect him to lift a few more trophies before he calls it a day on Merseyside.
