Liverpool are through to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup after a comfortable win against Norwich City.
The match at Carrow Road isn’t one that you’re likely to be telling your grandchildren about years from now, but there was a bit of history made in Norfolk from a Liverpool perspective.
Indeed, this match represented the first time Kaide Gordon played for the senior Liverpool side, and it’s fair to say this 16-year-old impressed.
The winger looked incredibly bright whenever he got onto the ball, and as with so many mercurial teenage talents, he looked utterly fearless whenever he got onto the ball.
Sadly, there were no goals or assists for the former Derby County man on his debut, but his all-around performance was very bright.
The Liverpool fanbase are certainly excited about this youngster coming through the ranks, and they’ve made their feelings known on social media.
Indeed, supporters described him as ‘fantastic’ and ‘special’, while one fan even drew a tongue-in-cheek comparison to Lionel Messi.
