Liverpool loanee Sepp van den Berg bagged his second goal for Preston North End in an impressive 3-1 win over Swansea City.

The teenage Dutch defender has impressed since returning to Deepdale this summer. Van den Berg has found himself in a unique role as a right-wing back despite his 6’4″ frame.

The Championship is a division where young talents can truly show off their quality. And for Van den Berg, the 19-year-old is proving at and then some for Preston.

Van den Berg bagged his first Championship goal of the season as Preston claimed a comfortable win against the Welsh side. On the same day, Liverpool drew 1-1 with Premier League rivals Chelsea.

Indeed, Van den Berg’s striker was his second goal in as many games for Preston. The youngster also bagged one against Morcombe in the League Cup earlier in the week.

Two goals in a season is an impressive tally for a defender, let alone one playing out of position and just one month into the campaign. Yet Van den Berg is defying expectations with Preston.
