The Liverpool ace received a booking for a late foul last night.
Liverpool ace Andrew Robertson will miss the first-leg of his side’s Champions League quarter-final next month, after picking up a rather silly booking for a foul on Leon Goretzka, and some Reds fans took to Twitter lamenting the Scot’s misjudged tackle.
The 25-year-old joined Liverpool from Hull City in the summer of 2017, for a fee believed to be worth somewhere in the region of £8 million, and he has gone on to be a real hit at Anfield, racking up 66 appearances in all competitions in the process.
Robertson is a tremendously popular figure at Anfield, and he has arguably been Jürgen Klopp’s most consistent performer over the past 18 months.
The Scotland international wasn’t quite at his best against Bayern last night, however, having allowed Serge Gnabry to get in a cross which led to the host’s equaliser.
Robertson’s booking in stoppage time capped off a below-par performance from the left-back, and some Liverpool fans took to Twitter, criticising his poor late challenge on Goretzka…
