Son impressed during Tottenham Hotspur’s 2-1 defeat against Liverpool on Sunday.

Some Liverpool fans are urging the Reds to sign Son Heung-min from Sunday’s opponents Tottenham Hotspur.
It was Son’s deflected strike that created the opportunity for Harry Kane to score for Tottenham inside the first minute at Anfield, and the South Korean was arguably Spurs’ most threatening player in an eventual 2-1 defeat.
The result extended Spurs’ disappointing start to the new Premier League campaign and left them eight points off the Champions League positions in 11th.
There is already talk that Liverpool’s European Cup final victims could lose big-name stars such as Christian Eriksen and Toby Alderweireld in 2020, while the future of their manager Mauricio Pochettino remains a hot topic of discussion.
But the following Liverpool fans hope that Tottenham’s decline produces an alternative casualty.
Unlike Eriksen and Alderweireld, Son is on a long-term contract at Tottenham.
The 27-year-old signed up until June 2023 ahead of last season.

The Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has known of Son since his time in charge of Borussia Dortmund, when the forward played for Hamburger SV and Bayer Leverkusen.
