Some Liverpool fans on social media have been reacting after Daniel Sturridge finally found a new club, signing for Perth Glory in the A-League.
Sturridge has had a torrid time in recent years with injuries and suspensions, but he’s finally able to play football again after signing for Perth.
It’s been a long road for Sturridge to this point. He’s been without a club for almost 18 months, but now he’s going to be back playing the game he loves.
Sturridge is undoubtedly a fan favourite amongst the Liverpool supporters, and they’re absolutely buzzing to hear he’s back on the right track.
Of course, Perth Glory aren’t a club the calibre of Liverpool or Chelsea where Sturridge has previously plied his trade, but at this point in his career, it will just be great to see him back playing.
He’ll have the support of the Perth Glory fanbase, and we wouldn’t be surprised if Liverpool fans kept a keen eye on how he’s getting on over in Australia.
Interestingly, Sturridge isn’t the first Liverpool fan favourite to sign for Perth Glory. Indeed, back in 2010 a certain Robbie Fowler signed for the Australian outfit.
Here’s what the Anfield faithful have been saying about this news about Sturridge…
