Some Liverpool fans on Twitter are responding to Jude Bellingham’s post on Twitter.
The 18-year-old midfielder, who has been linked with a move to Liverpool already this summer, posted a photo of an old Birmingham City shirt on social media.
Bellingham played for his boyhood club before sealing a £30 million move to Borussia Dortmund in 2020.
And now, the teenager is one of Europe’s most exciting young players and enhanced his reputation with a goal against Manchester City in the Champions League last season.
Here’s how some Liverpool fans responded to his tweet:
Move to Anfield?
It’s certainly possible at some point in the future, but Bellingham won’t be joining Liverpool this summer despite the speculation earlier in the transfer window.
According to Eurosport , the youngster is a genuine target for Jurgen Klopp and Michael Edwards on Merseyside.
And although the Reds need a midfielder to replace Georginio Wijnaldum after his Bosman move to Paris Saint-Germain, it doesn’t look like they’ll be signing anybody in that mould at the moment.
Ibrahima Konate, at £36 million, remains Liverpool’s only senior signing of the summer.
But another good year in Germany and Bellingham could be worth an absolute fortune and possibly play himself on to the radar of some of Europe’s richer clubs.
