Some Liverpool fans all think Jürgen Klopp will do one thing in January

Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to reveal that they think Jurgen Klopp will field a weakened side in the FA Cup clash against Aston Villa.

The Reds were drawn to face Dean Smith’s side on the weekend of January 9/10, where they will be looking to get revenge for the humiliating 7-2 defeat suffered at Villa Park earlier this season.

Why do Liverpool fans think Klopp won’t take this game seriously?

Well, the former Borussia Dortmund boss has previous of doing so in this competition.

Last term in the fourth round, the German fielded what was basically an academy XI, and also allowed Neil Critchley to take his place for the encounter.

The likes of Liam Millar, Jake Cain and Leighton Clarkson joined more familiar faces such as Curtis Jones, Neco Williams and Ki-Jana Hoever in facing Shrewsbury as WhoScored shows.

Incredibly, the youngsters actually recorded a 1-0 win over the League One outfit.

With Klopp being so vocal about his side’s congested fixture schedule this season, it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see him field the youngsters in the FA Cup once again.

This also seems likely to happen, in our view, due to the sheer amount of injuries Liverpool currently have.
