Some Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to comments from Mateusz Klich about tiredness.

In an interview with SportoWefakty, Klich has said that he has been feeling tired this season and has added about his injury problems.

Klich told SportoWefakty when asked if he was feeling tired, as translated by Leeds Live: “I admit that yes, that’s why I’ve been resting more in the club lately. I started two matches on the bench. Over the last three years I have ‘loaded’ some of these meetings, and I have not had any holidays.

“Fortunately, I was avoiding more serious injuries, but minor ones started to happen to me. From overload, from intensity. My joints don’t hurt yet, I’m only 30 years old, but something hurt.

“At the club, we also train very hard between meetings, so it’s hard to regain freshness. I hope to catch my breath, because I have the best matches when I am physically prepared.”

The Poland international midfielder is a key player for Leeds and is one of the first names on the teamsheet when fit.

In head coach Marcelo Bielsa’s first two seasons at Elland Road, the 30-year-old missed just one Championship match, as reported by Leeds Live.

According to WhoScored, Klich has made 25 starts and four substitute appearances in the Premier League for Leeds so far this season, scoring three goals and providing five assists in the process.

Some Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to comments from Klich.

Meanwhile, former Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool striker Peter Crouch has given his take on Leeds striker Patrick Bamford missing out on the latest England squad, and his teammate and defender Luke Ayling having a goal disallowed against Fulham in the Premier League last week.

Crouch wrote in The Daily Mail about Bamford: “I can’t criticise the decision to pick Ollie Watkins, who has had an excellent season. He deserves his opportunity and it’s probably come down to the toss of a coin. Bamford has two goals in his last seven games, Watkins has one in seven.

“Bamford is a bit different from any other striker in the Premier League and I’d love to see him get a chance one day but the selection — or should that be ‘no-selection’ — that surprised me most of all involved Trent Alexander-Arnold.”

The Englishman added about Ayling and the VAR decision in The Daily Mail: “The latest episode of misery was Friday night at Craven Cottage when Luke Ayling thought he had scored for Leeds.

“His hairband came out, he started playing the air guitar – then his first-ever Premier League goal was ruled out because someone’s shoulder was in front of a yellow line.

“Was that decision really clear and obvious? I felt so sorry for him. There will be more incidents like this before May.”
