Leeds United fans on social networking site Twitter seem to have taken to Barry Douglas already.

Douglas joined Championship club Leeds from Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer transfer window.

According to Sky Sports, the Whites will have to pay Wolves a total of £3 million in transfer fees including potential add-ons for the 28-year-old left-back.

Douglas, who can also operate as left wing-back, has been superb for Leeds so far this season.

The Scotland international has played in both of Leeds’s first two Championship matches this season, with the West Yorkshire outfit winning them both and establishing themselves among the frontrunners for promotion to the English top flight.

Douglas has provided one assist, according to WhoScored, and his overall performance has been superb, and Leeds fans have been impressed.

Some Leeds fans have responded to Douglas’s simple post on Twitter, and their responses underline just how much they have already taken to the former Queen’s Park and Dundee United star.
