Luke Ayling started his pre-season off well for Leeds United.

Leeds United defender Luke Ayling made a strong first impression for Marcelo Bielsa’s side in their first pre-season game.
The Whites star even managed to get on the scoresheet, a rare occurence for the defender.
Ayling was playing at right-back as part of a back four, and managed to get forward both in possession and without it as he pressed his opponents.
More than 1,000 Leeds fan made the trip to Forest Green and they were not disappointed by their side.
While it is too early to read too much into their first pre-season game, Ayling was a real bright spark.
He missed the second half of last season after getting injury at the start of January, returning only for the final match.

Leeds’ form nosedived without him, and last night the former Bristol City man went about showing that he is back at full fitness and raring to go.
Ayling is likely to have a key role for Leeds this upcoming season and they must not over exert him in pre-season.
Last night was a promising start, and reminded fans just how much they missed him.
