Some Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation that Josko Gvardiol has decided not to join the Whites.

According to The Mirror, Gvardiol has decided to turn down Leeds and will move to RB Leipzig instead.

It has been reported that the Premier League club agreed a fee of £19.6 million with Dinamo Zagreb over the transfer of the 18-year-old defender.

Despite the Whites offering the teenager a four-year contract worth £25,000 per week more, the Croatia Under-21 international has decided to join Leipzig as he feels that switching to the Bundesliga club is a better career move for him, claims The Mirror, with another report suggesting that his former Zagreb teammate Dani Olmo was a factor in his decision.

Some Leeds fans have given their take on Gvardiol reportedly turning down the Whites, and below are some of the best comments on Twitter.

Meanwhile, Udinese sporting director Pierpaolo Marino has said that Leeds have not offered what they want for 26-year-old Argentina international Rodrigo De Paul, who can play as an attacking midfielder or as a winger.

Metro quotes Marino as saying: “De Paul to Leeds? They’ve not matched our €35m (£32.19m) price tag at the moment. Therefore I hope he can stay at the club.”
