Some Leeds United supporters are urging their side to move for Mark Duffy, amid reports that Sheffield United will listen to offers for the attacking midfielder.
Duffy is in the final year of his contract at Bramall Lane, and the Daily Mail reports that there is no prospect of an extension for the 33-year-old, who scored or made 13 goals as Sheffield United gained promotion to the Premier League at Leeds’ expense last season.
The Blades have already strengthened in Duffy’s position this summer, shelling out the best part of £15 million on Luke Freeman, Callum Robinson and Ravel Morrison.
And while Leeds are not short of bodies in the Liverpudlian’s position, it may not be the worst idea to increase the amount of competition for Pablo Hernandez, Helder Costa, Jack Harrison, Jack Clarke and Tyler Roberts, especially after last season’s injury problems.
