Some Leeds United and Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation regarding Sam Greenwood.
It has been reported by Leeds Live that Leeds are among the clubs interested in signing Greenwood from Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
The report has claimed that the Whites – who will play in the Premier League next season after winning automatic promotion from the Championship – are leading the chase for the 18-year-old forward.
Manchester United and AC Milan are also interested in the youngster, who could potentially cost Leeds as much as £3 million with add-ons, according to the report.
It has been reported that Greenwood will be drafted into the Leeds youth team.
The forward has a good reputation in the Arsenal academy, and, according to Leeds Live, he scored 15 goals in 20 appearances for the England Under-17 and Under-18 teams.
Greenwood is a raw talent who is not ready for the Leeds first team yet, but the Whites have a very good academy who have produced and developed some wonderful players over the years.
If the teenager does well for the Whites’ youth team, then he will get chances in the senior side in the future.
