The Bournemouth star left one Leeds United fan with egg on his face on Sunday.

Steve Cook of Bournemouth looks on during the Premier League match between AFC Bournemouth and Manchester United at Vitality Stadium on November 02, 2019 in Bournemouth, United Kingdom.

Some Leeds United supporters are responding to Steve Cook after the Bournemouth defender’s put-down of one of their fellow Whites fans on Twitter.

Cook made his 150th Premier League appearance as Bournemouth beat Manchester United 1-0 the previous day.

The 28-year-old tweeted the following message afterwards, sharing his achievement:

One Whites fan chose to get involved, replying:

Cook’s response was cutting.

But it was not the end of the matter, as far as the following of a Leeds persuasion are concerned.

Leeds supporters can at least take solace in the fact his side are now second in the Championship after Saturday’s 2-0 win against Queens Park Rangers.

The Whites, who finished third last season, last appeared at Premier League level in 2004 and have since played League One football, where Bournemouth were among their opponents.
