Leeds United new boy Robin Koch was given a first taste of Elland Road on Wednesday.
The Whites kick off their Premier League season with a trip to Liverpool on Saturday and yesterday Marcelo Bielsa put his players through their paces at the club’s stadium instead of Thorp Arch.
Koch is the latest player to sign for Leeds during what’s been an exciting summer of business, with United breaking their transfer record to sign Rodrigo for £30 million a few days earlier.
And the German centre-back, a £13 million addition by Victor Orta, sent a tweet after yesterday’s session.
Here’s how some Leeds fans responded to him:
As the powerhouse pointed out, this was his first training session under Bielsa.
And with Wednesday being ‘Murderball’ day in West Yorkshire, it was surely an eye-opening first experience under the veteran Argentine coach.
But it remains to be seen if he’s in contention to face the champions at Anfield on Saturday because he can’t be as fit as his team-mates yet – and up against a Jurgen Klopp team, he has to be of optimum conditioning to survive.
