Marcelo Bielsa has suggested that Yosuke Ideguchi could be allowed to leave Leeds United this summer.

A number of Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to comment after Marcelo Bielsa hinted, in comments reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post, that Yosuke Ideguchi could be allowed to leave Elland Road this summer.
It has been a miserable spell for the Japan international, who cost Leeds £500,000 in January. He immediately left the Whites to join Cultural Leonesa on loan for the rest of last season, but his stint in Spain was incredibly disappointing and he missed out on making it into his country’s squad for the World Cup.
He did enjoy some minutes in pre-season and there appeared to be a willingness on Bielsa’s part to give Ideguchi the platform to prove that he deserved to be kept around the first-team for the coming campaign.
However, Bielsa has suggested that Ideguchi is unlikely to feature as things stand and hinted that he could be allowed to leave the club as it would be unfair to keep him around.

“He’s a player who during the six weeks of pre-season worked very well and very hard,” Bielsa said, as reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post. “I saw a very positive evolution. But I don’t know if he will stay with us or not.
“Usually I choose two players for each position so they have a possibility to play. I’m going to be sincere. He’s not a second option in any position of our team so it wouldn’t be fair for me to say I want him to stay because I couldn’t offer him the time as a player he deserves.”

In response to Bielsa’s comments, many of the supporters have expressed their disappointment for Ideguchi that the move clearly has not worked out, while they have also praised the head coach for the way that he has handled the situation with respect for the youngster.
There are some who have slammed the decision to sign the 21-year-old in the first place, but many are clearly disappointed at how Ideguchi’s move has played out.
