Leeds United are yet to officially unveil their new kit for the coming Championship season, but the possible home strip appears to have been leaked early.

In a summer where many Leeds fans appear to feel that they have had little to smile about, the upcoming launch of the new home and away kit is likely to provide some excitement as it makes it slightly easier to start picturing the new campaign emerging on the horizon.

The Whites went into the week still awaiting to officially unveil their new home or away shirts for the new season, with Marcelo Bielsa’s side either wearing a blue training top or previous yellow away strip in their pre-season clashes with Forest Green Rovers, York City and Southend.

But Leeds fans can now find out what the new home and goalkeeper kits look like after the club made an announcement on Twitter on Tuesday.

The image uploaded by the Championship side shows Luke Ayling, Adam Forshaw, Gjanni Alioski and Kemar Roofe all wearing the new home shirt, while Bailey Peacock-Farrell is wearing the dark blue goalkeeper kit.

The home shirt sees Leeds seemingly combine the designs from the previous two campaigns. The gold lettering has been replaced by blue as it was in 2016/17, but there remains no collar just like last season’s offering. Its simplicity is somewhat reminiscent of the kit that Simon Grayson’s men wore on the day that they were promoted out of League One.

It remains to be seen what away shirt Leeds will be wearing next season, but it has undoubtedly prompted a lot of discussion on social media, especially with seemingly little to talk about on the transfer front right now.

Here is what some of the fans made of the new kit…
