Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson has been linked with a move to West Bromwich Albion, and the Elland Road faithful are not happy.

A number of Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to react to reports coming from Swedish outlet Expressen this week which have suggested that West Brom have been in contact with the Whites regarding a move for Pontus Jansson.
Jansson has endured a fairly mixed time at Leeds in truth. He was superb for the large majority of his first season, but his form seemed to dip slightly in the final weeks as the Whites ultimately squandered a brilliant chance of reaching the play-offs.
And after a bright start to last season, his form seemed to take another dip. He was certainly not the only player who disappointed last term by any means, but Jansson is one of the members of the squad that certainly has the capability and quality to turn a situation around.
He reminded his critics of what he is capable of when he got to make his one start at the World Cup as he helped Sweden see off South Korea on their way to a quarter-final defeat to England.

Expressen is now reporting that West Brom are keen on the 27-year-old and have reached out to Leeds regarding a potential move – though it must be mentioned that the Whites are yet to reply to their new Championship rival’s enquiry.
But based on some of the fan responses to the reports, it would appear to be a very smart move for Andrea Radrizzani to reject all approaches for Jansson from the Baggies.

It has already become a frustrating summer for Leeds with just one signing through the door, and it appears that the fans’ frustration is likely to boil over if the next deal the club are involved in sees Jansson head to The Hawthorns – especially as a move to West Brom could see him reunited with former Leeds loanee Kyle Bartley who, according to BBC Sport, is in talks with the club over a move already.
Here is what some of the Leeds supporters make of the Jansson rumours…
