Leeds United fans on Twitter hailed the performance of Patrick Bamford after he helped his side record a 5-0 win over Stoke City on Thursday evening.
Minutes before the break, the away side would have felt that they were keeping Leeds at bay, but as soon as the home side converted from the penalty spot, it was one-way traffic from there.
Bamford was mightly impressive during the game, and it seemed as though he was going to be unlucky not to find the back of the net, before that well-taken finish right at the death.
Bamford is like a marmite-like figure in Yorkshire, at times he looks absolute quality, but then he’s continued missed chances ends up proving costly for the team.
But since the restart, he has been producing his best performances and the Premier League is edging ever closer for Marcelo Bielsa’s men.
All Leeds fans wanted was three points today, but it wasn’t just the three points that they secured, it’s the manner in which they secured them.
Perhaps the only disappointment for the Leeds faithful would be that they didn’t score more because the scoreline flattered Stoke.
