Have Leeds given Peterborough a sweetener before moving for James Maddison, by loaning Tyler Denton?

Leeds United struck a deal with Peterborough United last night, but it was not the one Whites fans were expecting or hoping for.
Some fans are hoping this is the first step in negotiations between the two clubs for a transfer of Marcus Maddison.

Maddison struck 12 goals and provided 22 ssists last season and is currently transfer listed, with Peterborough looking to cash in.
Leeds are reportedly long-term admirers of Maddison, with Evans telling the Football League Paper in 2016 that he tried to sign him and believes he would have doen, had it not been for ex-Whites owner Massimo Cellino’s alleged interference.

Some Leeds fans are hoping that loaning Denton is a sweetener for a Maddison deal.
At the very least it demonstrates the two clubs are talking, and it would be prudent of Leeds to weigh up a swoop for the 24-year-old.
