Some Leeds fans on social media have been reacting to Pontus Jansson’s comments about missing the club.
The Swedish centre-half spoke to Fotbollskanalen this week, and as you can imagine, one of the hot topics he touched on was his time at United.
The defender gave a heartfelt view on Leeds, claiming that he still loves the club.
“To be completely honest, I miss Leeds and love Leeds, but I’m in a place in life where I’m incredibly happy with where I am now at my new club and how appreciated I am there“, Jansson said. “But it is clear that I miss Leeds, my team-mates and the club.
“You who follow them know that it was something special. I will love Leeds for the rest of my life and follow them. I have a pretty close relationship with many of the players, I still often talk to Andrea [Radrizzani].”
Jansson still loves the club, and it seems as though some fans still love him.
Indeed, supporters took to social media in their droves to urge the club to re-sign the Swede, with many fans claiming that they’d love to see him back at Elland Road.
With the Whites flying high in the Premier League and Jansson ageing, we can’t see this being a deal Victor Orta looks at striking in the near future, but as with anything in football, you can never say never.
Here’s what the Elland Road faithful have been saying on social media…
