Hertha Berlin fans have generally praised Arsenal’s Matteo Guendouzi after his debut performance for them yesterday.
Guendouzi may have only played for 30 minutes, but the Arsenal man still managed to make an impact.
The young midfielder came off the bench and helped to improve his side build-up play, with his energetic approach.
Although Hertha could not grab a winner, with their game against Wolfsburg finishing 1-1, must of the Bundesliga side’s supporters were impressed by the impact that the Arsenal loanee made.
Guendouzi has only just returned from injury, but there is an expectation that that he will ultimately break into Hertha’s starting line-up.
If he can impress there then it is not impossible that he could break back into Arsenal’s plans, although Mikel Arteta may take some convincing.
Guendouzi’s attitude at the Emirates Stadium was called into question last term, and it seemed as if Arsenal were planning to sell him this summer.
His talent and potential is still obvious though, and if he can really impress in Germany, then that may convince Arteta to give the youngster a second chance.
