The one-time Rangers captain has played just three times since Steven Gerrard arrived at Ibrox.

Lee Wallace’s wife appears to have confirmed via Twitter what most Rangers fans were expecting – her husband’s release after eight years at Ibrox.
And although Rangers have yet to comment on Wallace’s situation, an official announcement is seemingly forthcoming.
One Gers player, Jamie Barjonas, has already wished his former captain ‘all the best’ on Twitter.
And having made just three appearances during Steven Gerrard’s reign as Rangers manager, an extension to his expiring contract is highly unlikely.
The development has saddened many within the Light Blues’ support base, although some Hearts fans hope it could spell opportunity for Wallace’s first professional club.
This is what they’re saying on Twitter…
Edinburgh-born Wallace progressed through Hearts’ youth academy and made his debut for the Jambos aged just 17.
In total, he played 134 times for his hometown team before joining Rangers in 2011.

Despite being a full Scotland international by the time of the Gers’ demotion down three divisions 12 months later, the 31-year-old remained at Ibrox and captained the club back to the top flight.
Where will the Rangers left-back end up?
