Tottenham Hotspur are seemingly on the lookout for a new striker, with Fulham’s Aleksandar Mitrovic one of the names reportedly on their radar.

Fulham fans on Twitter have provided a mixed reaction to the injury suffered by reported Tottenham Hotspur target, Aleksandar Mitrovic, from the weekend.

Mitrovic, who was touted to make a Premier League move amid interest from the likes of Spurs, was injured during Fulham’s win at Hull City with Scott Parker issuing worrying comments on the incident by saying it looks ‘pretty bad’, as quoted by FourFourTwo.

90Min previously claimed that Tottenham are keen on Mitrovic, who has been a key figure for Fulham in their bid to earn promotion to the Premier League this term.

Fulham fans weren’t too sure what to think about Mitrovic’s injury, as they are unsure as to how long he will or will not be out of action for.

There’s no doubt that Spurs need a striker through their doors this month and there’s no doubt that a player like Mitrovic could prove to be a difference-maker.

The Serbian has matured since his Newcastle days and has been scoring goals for fun during the past few seasons for Fulham, both in the Championship, the Premier League and now the Championship once again.

From Fulham’s perspective, it could be a bit of a blessing in disguise if Mitrovic is out of action until the end of the month because it’ll then mean that there’s no chance of him leaving.

But if he returns and is fit and firing then those same Fulham supporters will be hoping that the seemingly interested parties stay away from his signature.
