West Ham have been strongly linked with a move for Algeria international Benrahma before the summer transfer window in England closes on Friday.
Sky Sports reported at the weekend that the Hammers were in advanced talks with Brentford over the transfer of the 25-year-old, who can also play as a forward.
The Guardian has reported this evening that although there are complications between the winger and his club Brentford, West Ham remain confident that they will be able to secure the services of the Algerian star, with a medical scheduled on Wednesday.
The Algeria international scored 17 goals and provided four assists in the Championship last season, while in 2018-19, the winger scored 10 goals and provided 14 assists in the league, according to WhoScored.
The winger would make the Hammers better in attack and enhance the quality of David Moyes’s team.
