What a loan spell it’s been for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Oliver Skipp.
The 20-year-old started for Norwich City in last night’s 3-1 defeat by Luton Town.
In doing so, Skipp, labelled a future Tottenham captain by Jose Mourinho, has made the first XI for every single one of the Canaries’ 15 Championship games this season.
And he did nothing to negatively affect his chances of starting again this weekend with a very decent display against the Hatters.
Despite the defeat, Skipp was one of City’s best players again.
He isn’t an attacking player by any means, but it was still the youngster who looked most like creating something for the hosts going forward.
Here’s how some Norwich fans reacted to the Tottenham talent’s latest display:
It was a brilliant decision by the North Londoners to loan him out.
Mourinho might’ve been tempted to keep him in his senior squad this season, given that he has 15 Premier League appearances under his belt.
But the performance level of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Tanguy Ndombele mean that he’d have struggled in a major way for regular football.
At least this way, Skipp is in the side every week – as mentioned – and he should, in theory, return to the Lilywhites a much better player for it.
