It’s too early to say what changes Nuno Espirito Santo has made at Tottenham Hotspur.
The Portuguese coach was only named as Jose Mourinho’s successor a matter of weeks ago and until Spurs have a competitive game under him, it’ll be difficult to gauge the difference.
But Nuno has already made one physical difference and it comes in the changing room.
The new Tottenham boss has had the outline of a football pitch printed on the floor inside the Lilywhites’ dressing room.
This, it is believed, is for tactical reasons, to better make his point to the players and Nuno had the same design at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Here’s how some Tottenham fans reacted to seeing the innovation:
Good idea?
Well it’s certainly not a bad one and there doesn’t appear to be much harm in this.
Only good things can come from it, one would assume.
Nuno gets his reign underway properly next month when the North Londoners host Premier League champions Manchester City on August 15.
It’s the hardest-possible test for Nuno and his troops, but such a baptism of fire could actually be a good thing.
Not only do Spurs get one of their hardest games out of the way immediately, but it gives the former Wolves boss a chance to see how his players respond to his methods on a big stage and that, like the innovative design in the changing room, can’t be a bad thing.
