Some fans react to Roberto Firmino’s latest performance

Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino played the full 90 minutes for his country on Tuesday night.

Brazil edged out Uruguay by beating their fellow South Americans 2-0 in World Cup qualifying.

But despite the victory, there was more individual anguish for the out-of-sorts Liverpool attacker.

The former Hoffenheim marksman has only managed one goal in 12 appearances for his club in all competitions this season.

As a result, Diogo Jota is asking major questions of Jurgen Klopp after enjoying some dazzling form off the bench in recent months, leading to some Liverpool fans to call on their manager to start him in place of Firmino going forward.

The Brazilian had a chance to fire back at his detractors last night, by firing his country into a 3-0 lead, but he blew it.

Firmino isn’t even finding himself with many goalscoring chances for club or country these days, meaning that those that do come his way have to be taken and last night was a glaring example of a player struggling for confidence.
