The Senegal international was in excellent form away from Liverpool.
Liverpool attacker Sadio Mane has impressed supporters with an excellent display for Senegal against Brazil in a friendly earlier today.
The 1-1 draw was a real demonstration of talents on the books at Anfield, with Roberto Firmino continuing his red hot form with a goal and Mane winning a penalty that would equalise the match.
His surging run and dribble tore the Brazil defence apart. Dani Alves and Marquinhos just couldn’t seem to cope with him at all.
It wasn’t the only time he managed to exploit a talented defensive line.
Ultimately the Brazilians had to resort to physicality to stop him. Despite being on the receiving end of some heavy challenges, he appears to have escaped injury.
That’s fortunate because Mane has been in incredible form at the start of the season, scoring eight goals in 11 appearances. It’s the kind of consistency that certainly could push Jurgen Klopp’s side towards more trophies.
With Manchester United on the immediate horizon, they’ll need Mane at his peak in their efforts to secure a famous result.
