Tottenham Hotspur’s Davinson Sanchez didn’t have a great night on Tuesday.

The 24-year-old started and finished the game for his country as Colombia were ripped to shreds by Ecuador, who secured a 6-1 win in World Cup qualifying.

And worryingly, the Tottenham centre-back struggled at times during the game and could – and should – have cut out the cross which led to his side falling 3-0 behind after 32 minutes.

It wasn’t a horror show for Sanchez on an individual level, despite being a defender in a side that shipped six goals.

But it was far from a stellar performance either and here’s how Spurs fans reacted on Twitter:

Fortunately for Tottenham, he isn’t a first-team regular these days.

Jose Mourinho hasn’t started him in a Premier League game since the 3-3 draw with West Ham United back on October 18.

And any chance he had of starting against Manchester City this weekend was dashed yesterday, it’s safe to probably say.
