Tottenham striker Harry Kane is the World Cup Golden Boot winner.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has an incredible new personal accolade in his trophy cabinet… the World Cup Golden Boot.
Kane followed in the footsteps of the likes of Ronaldo, Thomas Muller, Gary Lineker and Juste Fontaine by finishing as World Cup top scorer.
For some, the England striker’s achievements felt a little underwhelming.
Kane’s tally of six goals was a normal amount for a Golden Boot winner – only one player (Ronaldo – 8) has beaten this since 1974.
But the way they came, were not enough for some supporters.
Five of Kane’s six goals came in the World Cup group stages, with three against Panama.
Three of them were penalties, and one came via a deflection off Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s shot.

Kane’s biggest disappointment was not the ones he did score, but the ones he didn’t, failing to net in the quarter-final or semi-final, when it mattered most.
Despite this, no other player could match Kane, and that counts for something.
He scored six, and none of the world’s elite players could match him, and the England and Tottenham striker has a right to feel immensely proud of his achievements.
Not all fans are impressed however…
