Wilder’s Sheffield United beat Everton on Saturday.

Chris Wilder’s stock continues to rise after the Sheffield United manager led his newly-promoted side to 10th in the Premier League courtesy of a 2-0 win at Everton on Saturday.
In contrast, his Everton counterpart Marco Silva is feeling the heat after the Toffees’ languid start to the new campaign – which was billed as one in which they could potentially gatecrash the top-flight’s traditional top six.
Wilder enjoyed success at Alfreton Town, Halifax Town, Oxford United and Northampton Town before he led the Sheffield United – the club he has supported since childhood and went on to play for – to three promotions in as many years.
And it is surely only a matter of time before teams at the top end of the English game start to take note of his talent.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, some are already backing the 52-year-old to eventually succeed Silva at Everton.
This is what is being said on Twitter…
And several of an Everton persuasion seemingly would not mind having Wilder as boss…
Could Wilder leave Sheffield United for Everton if Silva departs?
