Shkodran Mustafi has upset some Arsenal fans on Twitter.

The Gunners are 15th in the Premier League and are potentially just one defeat away from finding themselves in a relegation battle in the lead-up to Christmas.

To make matters worse, Arsenal have managed 10 goals in just 11 Premier League games and their best player – Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – has only scored once from open play this season.

This is a desperate situation for the North Londoners and some fans aren’t happy with Mustafi’s latest tweet.

The Germany international, a £35 million signing in 2016, issued a rallying call on social media on Tuesday, writing: “We put ourselves in this situation. Now we have to stick together and help each other back out.”

Mustafi combined it with a photo of himself sharing a joke with a Alexandre Lacazette and Aubameyang a London Colney.

Here’s how some fans of the Emirates Stadium side responded to his tweet:

The Gunners are away to Dundalk in their last Europa League group stage game tomorrow, one that Mustafi will probably start in, before hosting Burnley at the Emirates on Sunday night.
