Defender Con Ouzounidis has signed a new deal at Everton.

Everton youngster Con Ouzounidis has underlined his delight on Twitter after becoming the latest of a number of young stars to sign a new deal with the Toffees – and some Everton fans congratulated the teenager.
The 18-year-old centre-back was a regular member of Everton’s Under-18 side during the 2017-18 campaign, before making the step up to David Unsworth’s reserve side where he played six times and scored two goals.
He has now earned a new deal in what is his first professional contract, and becomes the latest of a handful of Everton youngsters to put pen to paper – Shayne Lavery, Manasse Mampala and Matty Foulds have also agreed terms.
Ouzounidis posted on Twitter to show fans his joy at signing the new deal under manager Marco Silva, describing Everton as “such a great club”.
Everton fans have plenty to get excited at when looking at the club’s youth and reserve teams, with the likes of Scotland Under-21 international Fraser Hornby impressing at the Toulon Tournament.
Ouzounidis is just another example of The Toffees impressive youth system, and some Everton fans were ecstatic on Twitter to see the defender signing a new deal. One fan even claimed the Australian could be the club’s “next Tim Cahill”.
