Some Everton fans on Twitter are praising former player Ademola Lookman for his cameo against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night.
The 23-year-old, whom Everton sold to Leipzig in 2019, came off the bench with 20 minutes and played a huge role in loan club Fulham earning a point away to Spurs.
Lookman’s speed and trickery was a big problem for the North Londoners’ defence – especially when he beat Davinson Sanchez to the ball and stood up a brilliant cross for Ivan Cavaleiro to head home, ultimately earning the Cottagers a point.
The England Under-21 international has bags of potential but for whatever reason, has been unable to fulfill it consistently at Everton or indeed with the Bundesliga club, hence his loan.
But here’s how some fans of the Goodison Park side reacted to his display last night:
Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti is one of the best and most decorated coaches working in Europe right now, having won the Champions League on three occasions, as well as league titles in virtually every country he has worked in.
And it would’ve been so interesting to see if the legendary Italian could have managed Lookman a little better than Ronald Koeman or Sam Allardyce.
