
Everton fans have shared their thoughts on the rumours that they are interested in signing Rangers defender James Tavernier.
The Daily Mail have claimed that Everton have joined a host of Premier League clubs keen on signing the goal-scoring defender.
But, as expected, the report also states that Rangers aren’t keen on selling one of their prized assets.
It also seems that a selection of Everton fans are in the same boat because they aren’t keen on their club pushing for his signature.
A lot of that stems from his stats this season where Tavernier has netted 16 goals and supplied 12 assists this term – but most of those goals are penalties.
On this occasion, it does seem as though the reputation of Scottish football isn’t helping Tavernier’s cause, but it wouldn’t bother Rangers fans because it then means that opposition fans won’t hype such a rumour up.
On the other hand, Steven Gerrard is a big fan of the powerful English man and he labelled him as ‘unstoppable’ back in September, whilst speaking to Rangers’ official website.
