‘I’ll be gutted’: Some Everton fans react to Wolves’ reported Mina interest

Wolverhampton Wanderers are reported to have officially joined the race for Barcelona defender Yerry Mina.

As reported by Tuttomercatoweb, Premier League new boys Wolverhampton Wanderers have joined the heavily contested race to sign Barcelona defender Yerry Mina by submitting a bid of £17.8 million.

Mina is very much in the shop window at present after impressing at the World Cup with Colombia, coupled with the fact that he is down the pecking order at the Nou Camp.

Most recently, teams such as Everton, Manchester United and Lyon have been linked with the defender’s name, but it is certainly a surprise to see Wolves enter the fray.

Wolves have been extremely busy this summer securing deals for various new players, including Rui Patricio, Raul Jimenez and Joao Moutinho, and Mina would certainly be the icing on the cake for Nuno Espirito Santo.

MIna would definitely be a welcome addition for the Toffees, due to their ageing back-line consisting of Phil Jagielka and Ashley Williams.

But Everton now appear to face real competition for the 6ft 4in centre-back, and Goodison Park-goers have taken to social media to react to the news that Wolves are in the hunt:
