Everton attacker Henry Onyekuru has confirmed that Valencia are interested in his services despite only just joining Turkish SuperLig side Galatasaray – and some Everton fans have reacted to his comments on his future.

The 21-year-old told Turkish outlet Fotomac that Valencia were keen on luring him to Spain this summer, despite leaving Everton this summer to join Galatasaray on a season-long loan.

If the Nigeria international was to join Valencia, it is likely the Spanish club would have to convince Everton to cancel his loan with the Turkish outfit, allowing Onyekuru to move on permanently.

But the forward told Fotomac that he wants to see out the loan with Galatasaray: “It is true that Valencia is interested in me, but I do not think about leaving.”

Onyekuru joined Everton in the summer of 2017 before immediately being loaned to Anderlecht, where he scored 10 goals in 28 games but suffered a long-term injury that kept him sidelined since the turn of the year.

He has returned to action in pre-season with Galatasaray, and some Everton fans have reacted to his comments in different fashions. Some hope he will remain an Everton player, while some are not happy with how freely he is talking about his future.
