Klaassen is reportedly nearing a move from Everton to Werder Bremen.
German newspaper Bild have claimed that Everton midfielder Davy Klaassen is nearing a move to Bundesliga outfit Werder Bremen – and some Toffees fans believe his time is up.
Klaassen, 25, joined Everton last summer for a fee of £25million Dutch giants Ajax, after captaining them to the 2016-17 Europa League final against Manchester United.
But his big-money move stuttered from the off, and the sacking of Ronald Koeman saw Klaassen ostracised by both David Unsworth and Sam Allardyce. He managed just 249 minutes of Premier League football all season.
Now, Bild claim Werder have agreed a club-record £13.4million fee with Everton for Klaassen, though the Holland international is yet to agree a move to the German side who are keen to replace the loss of Thomas Delaney.
It is believed that Klaassen has been offered a four-year deal to join Werder, and a contract worth £60,000-a-week.
Some Everton fans reacted to the news that a fee had been agreed with Werder for Klaassen, and the majority of Toffees fans believe that the Dutchman’s time is up – even though Everton would be losing almost half their outlay on Klaassen.
