Everton have reportedly made an offer for AC Milan star Andrea Bertolacci.

Everton have reportedly made an offer to sign AC Milan midfielder Andrea Bertolacci this summer after the technically-gifted star returned to the San Siro from a loan spell at Genoa – and some Everton fans reacted on Twitter.

Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb claim Everton have contacted the agent of the 27-year-old midfielder in a bid to lure the five-time Italy international to Goodison Park this summer.

Milan bought Bertolacci from Genoa for £17million in the summer of 2015, but he has struggled to prove his worth and managed just 48 appearances during his first two seasons before rejoining Genoa on loan last term.

He now only has one more year remaining on his contract at Milan, with the Italian giants boasting plenty of options in central midfield including Giacomo Bonaventura, Riccardo Montolivo, Lucas Biglia and Franck Kessie.

Everton could be after a central midfielder this summer with doubts surrounding the futures of Morgan Schneiderlin and Mo Besic in doubt, while Wayne Rooney has left to join MLS side DC United.

Some Everton fans reacted to the reported £5.3million move made by The Toffees on Twitter, with the majority unsure over the signing with little known over in England about the Italian midfielder.
