Some Everton fans are not pleased that Theo Walcott is not in the latest England squad but Adam Lallana is.

Gareth Southgate, Manager of England reacts during an England Squad Announcement at St Georges Park on August 30, 2018 in Burton-upon-Trent, England.

Gareth Southgate has named his first England squad since the 2018 World Cup in Russia for upcoming international matches against Spain and Switzerland.

Many familiar faces from the summer remain but there have been some new call-ups, including Southampton goalkeeper Alex McCarthy, Manchester United’s Luke Shaw and Liverpool defender Joe Gomez.

Yet what really seems to have riled some Everton fans is in the reintroduction of Adam Lallana and, more importantly, the omission of Theo Walcott.

Lallana’s fitness problems have continued into this season and the midfielder has managed just three minutes of Premier League action so far in 2018/19.

Theo Walcott of Everton celebrates his goal during the Premier League match between AFC Bournemouth and Everton at the Vitality Stadium on August 25, 2018 in Bournemouth, England.

That is in stark contrast to Walcott, who already has two goals and an assist this campaign and Toffees supporters therefore feel he should be back in Southgate’s plans.
